In week ending Nov. 29, local indicators for respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) continued to increase. Indicators for influenza remained low in Kitsap, but appear to be rising in neighboring counties. Local indicators for COVID-19 remained minimal. Regional laboratory surveillance most frequently detected influenza A among clinical respiratory specimens, with RSV detections continuing to rise.

Fewer than 10 emergency department (ED) visits were attributable to COVID-19, influenza, or to RSV. Kitsap sentinel reporting labs reported one positive COVID-19 test (0.3% of specimens tested), 14 positive influenza tests (12 influenza A, two influenza B; 3.9% of specimens tested), and eight positive RSV tests (9.6% of specimens tested).

On average, fewer than 10 hospital beds at St. Michael Medical Center were in use per day for COVID-19 or influenza patients.

At Kitsap long-term care facilities, there have been no COVID-19 or influenza outbreaks reported in the past four reporting weeks.
