Child Fatality Review

Injury Prevention

Injuries can happen to anyone at any age. By focusing on injury prevention, we can help children have a healthy start to life and keep adults active and independent throughout their lifespan.

Accidents, including poisoning, falls, and vehicle collisions, were the fourth leading cause of death in Kitsap in 2021. Injuries that don't cause death can cause long-term trauma and disability.

To better understand and prevent injury and death of children, we have established a Child Fatality Review (CFR) panel.

Safe Kids Kitsap

Safe Kids Kitsap's mission is to create a safe and injury-free Kitsap County.

Safe Kids Kitsap is a member of Safe Kids Washington. We focus on preventing child injury and death by developing injury prevention best practices with local organizations and community members.
