A healthy school year starts with back-to-school vaccines!

The first day of school is right around the corner – make sure your family is caught up on recommended vaccines!


Vaccines are safe and help protect children from a wide range of diseases like measles, mumps, tetanus, chickenpox, whooping cough, and hepatitis.


Vaccines are free for all Washington children 18 and younger. Health insurance is not required.


What vaccines does my child need?


Vaccine recommendations vary by age. Some vaccines are required to attend school or childcare.

There are many ways to get your child vaccinated. You can: 


  • Contact your child's healthcare provider.

  • Call Kitsap Public Health to find out when we're having our next childhood vaccine clinic.

  • Ask your child's school to learn about back-to-school vaccine events.



Free Childhood Vaccine Clinics

We will be at these events to give free childhood vaccines:


When: August 8, 2026 | 12-3:30 p.m.

Where: Marvin Williams Recreation Center725 Park Ave, Bremerton


When: August 19, 2026 | 9-11 a.m. & 1-3 p.m.

Where: Kitsap Public Health District345 6th St. STE 300, Bremerton


  • Our free vaccine clinics are for children 18 and younger.

  • You do not need health insurance.

  • Appointments are recommended. Walk-ins are welcome.

  • Book online at KitsapPublicHealth.org/clinic or call 360-728-2007.

  • If you need copies of vaccine records, we can print them for you.
