A cyanobacteria warning has been issued for Kitsap Lake. Avoid all contact with the water in Kitsap Lake due to potentially toxic cyanobacteria.

The Kitsap Public Health Board has appointed Dr. Herbie Duber to serve as interim health officer for Kitsap Public Health District as the agency seeks a replacement for outgoing health officer Dr. Gib Morrow. 

The Kitsap Public Health Board will meet for a special session on Tuesday, Aug, 5, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. virtually via Zoom.
