Respiratory Illness Report: Week 43 (10/19/2025 - 10/25/2025)

In week ending Oct. 25, local indicators for COVID-19 were low, and local indicators for influenza and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) remained minimal. Regional laboratory surveillance most frequently detected rhinovirus and COVID-19 among clinical respiratory specimens.
Fewer than 10 emergency department (ED) visits were attributable to either COVID-19 or influenza, and 0 visits were attributable to RSV. Kitsap sentinel reporting labs reported 14 positive COVID-19 tests (3.9% of specimens tested), 3 positive influenza tests (3 influenza A, 0 influenza B; 1.0% of specimens tested), and 0 positive RSV tests (0.0% of specimens tested).
On average, fewer than 10 hospital beds at St. Michael Medical Center were in use per day for COVID-19 or influenza patients.
At Kitsap long-term care facilities, there have been two COVID-19 outbreaks reported in the past four reporting weeks, and no influenza outbreaks.
