Pertussis activity remains high in Kitsap County and Washington state, especially among school-aged children.

Whooping cough activity is high in Kitsap County, with 46 cases reported since January 2025.

BE AWARE pertussis activity in Kitsap County and across Washington state remains high.

BE AWARE of an increase in pertussis and influenza activity in Kitsap County and across Washington state.

BE AWARE of local pertussis activity and consider pertussis in patients exhibiting symptoms of respiratory illness.

BE AWARE of an increase in pertussis has been reported in some areas of Washington state and that patients with a history of receiving pertussis vaccine can still get pertussis.
